Most of us struggle with our confidence from time to time. It might feel like a lifelong struggle, or it might be that you have taken a knock and need to pick yourself back up again. It is hard, we understand that, which is why today we want to share with you a few suggestions that might help, here are 3 ways to boost your confidence.
Try something new
Think back, when did you last try something that was completely new to you? It can be absolutely anything, from learning a new skill to eating at a new restaurant. Trying new things can broaden our experiences and give our confidence levels a lift.
Have a think about what you might like to try this month, something new. You might want to start small and build up with this one. Perhaps this month it is a new recipe or coffee shop and then next month you could try one or two fun alternatives to going to the gym. Before you know it, you will be taking up brand new hobbies, expanding your social circle and loving every minute of it.
Think about your appearance
This sounds quite radical, doesn’t it? We are not suggesting a full makeover, we are quite sure you are wonderful as you are! The problem is, that we do not always see ourselves the way that others see us. Other people do not zoom in on the flaws that we are certain we have, they do not care at all about the extra few pounds you think you are carrying or the gray hairs you are sprouting. No matter what others tell you, though, if you are having a wobble in confidence, making changes to your appearance can help to bring it back.
You might book yourself in at the salon to get a new cut and color, or perhaps you want to try a few new makeup tips. You could buy a new outfit or try putting different colors together when you dress.
If you have certain niggles about your appearance and body, you might want to find a dental clinic, check out a great place for cool sculpting or treat yourself to a spa day and pamper that body. You will be appreciating it again in no time and feeling good.
Take up journaling
There are so many benefits of journaling, from easing stress and anxiety to increasing your self-awareness. The key here to help with your confidence is that boost to your emotional intelligence, enhancing your creativity and giving you time for self reflection.
The good thing about journaling is that anyone can start it at any time. All that you need is a notebook and pen and you are all set, so maybe this is one that you can begin today?
Write whatever comes into your head initially. Get those thoughts out onto paper, from frustrations to hopes and dreams. It can help you to work through any current issues by documenting them and it can help you to reach goals by clearly articulating and visualising them.
Journaling is a personal thing, your journaling habit is yours to form and you can be as creative as you want to be within those pages.
